Yes, several carriers let you send a parcel without a printer. You show a QR code on your phone and the label is printed at the pickup point, or you scan the code on a locker's screen. Mondial Relay, Chronopost (e-label), UPS (mobile barcode) and La Poste (self-service machine or counter at the post office) offer this, with conditions: see the table.
How does QR code drop-off work?
There are two ways to do without a printer, which should not be confused:
- Printing at the pickup point: you show the QR code to the shopkeeper, who scans it and prints the label, which you stick on the parcel. Only equipped pickup points do this.
- Label-free locker: you scan the QR code on the locker's screen, a compartment opens and you put the parcel in. At Mondial Relay, this is the Zéro étiquette (zero label) service.
What you need: a charged phone, screen brightness at maximum, and the QR code received by email or in the platform's app. Also keep the parcel number to hand.

Mondial Relay without a printer
Two options. At a Point Relais, choose one that offers printing at the Point Relais: it prints the label from your QR code (Mondial Relay). At a Locker, the Zéro étiquette service needs no label: you scan the QR code on the screen, write the parcel number on the box and put one parcel per compartment. See our Mondial Relay points.
Chronopost: the e-label
With the e-label, you receive a QR code by email, write the parcel number on the box and drop it off at a Pickup shop, in mainland France. A drop-off confirmation arrives by email. For Shop2Shop, Chronopost's pages do not all say the same thing: see the terms of Pickup. See our Chronopost points.
Relais Colis: the SMART option
Relais Colis offers a SMART option: the label is generated at the pickup point from a QR code. The published price and conditions are old: see the terms of Relais Colis before choosing. See our Relais Colis points.
Colissimo without a printer: the post office
Buy the label online, then print it free of charge at the self-service machine or the counter of a post office (La Poste). You have 7 days to print and drop off (La Poste). If you chose letterbox drop-off when buying, the label cannot be printed at the post office (La Poste). See our La Poste points.
UPS: the mobile barcode
UPS accepts a mobile barcode at equipped UPS Access Points, which print the label (UPS). The UPS locator lets you find these points. See our UPS points.
No printer on Vinted, Leboncoin and for returns
- Leboncoin (France's main classifieds site): the QR code is designed for Mondial Relay, at an equipped Point Relais or a Locker (Leboncoin). For Mondial Relay home delivery, printing is still required (Leboncoin). See sending a Leboncoin parcel.
- Vinted: it all depends on the carrier chosen by the buyer. See the terms of Vinted, and sending a Vinted parcel.
- Returning an online purchase: many retailers provide a return QR code, with their own rules. See returning a parcel via a pickup point.
Where can you drop off a parcel with a QR code near you?
Not all pickup points print labels. Check the carrier's locator before you go: at Mondial Relay, the pickup point's page shows whether printing is available; at UPS, a filter shows the points that accept mobile codes. Our map does not yet show which points print.

Pickup points open on Sunday:
The pickup point refuses or the QR code does not work: what to do?
- Pickup point not equipped: go to an equipped pickup point or a locker of the same network. For a Colissimo parcel, go to the post office.
- QR code unreadable, not recognised or expired: at Mondial Relay, see the steps to follow.
- Locker full or too small: on Leboncoin, you have 55 seconds to choose another compartment size (Leboncoin). Otherwise, try another locker or a pickup point.
- QR code not received: check your spam folder, then see Mondial Relay's help.
- Always: keep the proof of drop-off (receipt or email) until delivery.
No QR code: other solutions
- The post office: for a Colissimo parcel, the self-service machine or the counter prints the label free of charge (La Poste).
- Print elsewhere: a public library, a print shop or a friend.
- Do not handwrite the address instead of using the carrier's label: it must be readable by its machines. Only some platforms allow you to write the parcel number on the box, under their own rules.
To find a pickup point or a locker, search near you. To choose the cheapest carrier, compare shipping prices. For everything else, see how a pickup point works and pickup point or parcel locker: the differences.
